Meet the Team: Emma

Studio

AUGUST, 2022

Delve into the careers & culture of Sherwen Studios with Emma, our Digital UX Designer & Office Co-DJ. She discusses her role and day-to-day experiences in Sherwen Studio’s creative office space.

Before joining Sherwen Studios, what did you used to do?

Emma: I worked as the Senior Digital UX Designer for a digital marketing and design agency working with big brand clients.

What’s your role at Sherwen, has it changed at all over the past two years?

Emma: It’s been an insightful journey seeing the company flourish in the past couple of years. I’ve enjoyed playing a major part in creating new branding.

There wasn’t much identity to the company so I enjoyed bringing a sense of individuality. We embrace constant change, adapt well and keep evolving our values, defining the way we work.

Not only do we have a great team, we are wholeheartedly candid in our work. Our outlook is don’t be afraid to say what you think.

Would you like to run us through a typical day at the Sherwen Office B.C. (Before COVID)?

Emma: Enjoying the camaraderie in the office, we balance it well with being committed to our clients and partners. We like to take chances in our roles, you can’t be right until you know what’s wrong.

What’s the best thing about working at Sherwen?

Emma: Not only do we have a great team, we are wholeheartedly candid in our work. Our outlook is don’t be afraid to say what you think, strong teams are built on different perspectives.

Who makes the best coffee & tea in the office? No conferring.

Emma: No question, it has to be Jill. Although she can’t tell us how - je ne sais quoi! (If only she worked full time so we would have her brews all week!)

Favourite song on the Office playlist?

Emma: Kelly Rowland - Work (Freemasons Remix)

If you were handed £1,000,000 in cold, hard contactless cash, what would be the first thing you’d spend it on?

Emma: A car parking space at the office & fancy coffee machine.

Any advice or words of wisdom for our new Digital UX Designer at Sherwen?
